open wammu it will display to configure mobile click yes welcome screen will appear click next

choose guided configuration and click next

in the windows you have to connection type bluetooth or usb and click next ( if you choose bluetooth first you have to pair your mobile with ubuntu desktop)

click on mobile type nokia ,symbian ,samsung,sony ericsson etc and click next
and wait for few minute and than finish
