Almost everyone know to how change windows xp login screen but I am not going to discuss on this topic this time I am tell you a nice trick about how to change windows xp login sound . It’s really boring to
Every time when you start your system you here a default welcome sound of windows xp logging sound. Some day ago when start my system as usual I here default windows xp sound I decide to change it without any
Software. Little bit R&D I done it. you can also change windows hardware insert, hardware remove, recycle bin etc. before I’ll show you how would you do it create a restore point for safety by going start >>> all program >> accessories >>> system tool
>>> System restore and create restore point
In following image I ll show you complete list of sound that you can change it but remember one thing your sound file size is not greater than original file size
 


Go to start all program and entertainment and click on sound recorder and record your custom sound with mike 
 


After that save with name "Windows XP Start" the font is same as original file font and save it
Now go to my computer than c drive where your system files are store than go to Windows and double click on Media folder
 


Cut the original sound file of “Windows XP Start " save it anywhere than go to where you save your recorded sound file and paste it into c:\windows\midea
And start your system you here your welcome msg in your own voice if you want to use mp3 as your welcome sound or something else
You have to download
Two software first is converter that converts mp3 to wav format
And second is cotter for cut music file (your music file is not greater than 414kb)

How to make transparent ubuntu Desktop

 
Now you can make ubuntu desktop transparent like windows 7 easily just by following
few step (I am not going to tell you how to totally transform ubuntu into window 7 looks)you need to switch ubuntu classic login style for this trick so switch to classic ubuntu by
Going system >> administration >> login screen >> unlock to change setting choose ubuntu
Or go to dash and type login screen and select it click on unlock bottom enter your password
And choose ubuntu classic.
Classic from drop down Menu and close and logout
 


Login into ubuntu o.s and go to upper panel right click on it and than go to properties
 


You can increase panel size and then click on background tab if you want show the upper panel bottom  choose from drop down menu
 
 

And click solid color and close after that right click on desktop and got
Change background click on theme tab 
 


And click “clearlook” theme and close it

Ubuntu is great operating system about relibility and look as you have noticed
On Avery folder has default white background now if you want change this default
White background without using any software I have trick for this by going nautilus setting. Nautilus is a file Explorer that’s come with ubuntu .it only works into classic ubuntu environment
(classic ubuntu =2d in ubuntu 12.04 lts) all you got to do

Installing ubuntu on VMware virtual pc

 

If you want to switch windows to ubuntu it’s good idea to try ubtntu on vmware virtual pc

VMware workstation used to do virtual installation of operating system you can safely delete

Operating system that you installed without any problem by going its name and right click on

And click on delete from disk. You can install multiple operating systems into VMware

Workstation you need ubuntu cd or iso image before I continue check hardware requirement

So I am going to teach you how to install ubuntu on VMware

You can install with bootable pan drive,cd or iso image

First you need iso or cd of ubuntu 
 

Start VMware press ctrl+n or go to file new virtual machine than click next

Next choose typical by default click next select Linux choose ubuntu
 

From drop down Manu and then click next you can choose where you want

To store ubuntu file by browsing and click next again click next
 

Specifies drive size and then click finish in right tab double click

On cd-Rom click use iso image and browse the location where you store
 

Ubuntu iso and click ok after that press ctrl+b

Wait few minute and click install enter time zone, user name and password
 

If you want to manually specify drive size than click something else

And select the unallocated partition and then click add press continue
 

Create root partition ("/" this is root symbol) and then select free space for new
 

Partition create swap area

Go to the drop down Manu and select swap after that create directory
 

By entering "/home" and select "/" root for installing ubuntu click install

It takes 30to 45 minute. Your ubuntu is installed on VMware

Want to show computer and home icon on ubuntu desktop like Microsoft windows? Yes it's possible and very simple you can also control your mounted devices to show on the desktop or not. This trick only work in ubuntu classic desktop environment so you need to switch
Classic ubuntu interface by going dash and type “login screen” in the search field and click login screen click unlock enter password choose ubuntu classic from drop down menu click close
Follow these step and you can do it easily
Press alt +f2 then type gconf-editor and enter



Double click on apps and find nautilus






Than select desktop. In the left panel click on box for selecting ( which icon you want to show on the desktop) and close configure editor
your icon now is visible on desktop that you selected

Easiest To Rename start bottom with the help of resource hacker

 
renaming start bottom is really typical but it really nice trick who use windows xp and want to do something new.
For this trick I will use resource hacker. Resource hacker free tool that provide view, modify, add, rename, and delete resource in windows executable and resource file
actually resource hacker design to view resource in win 32 executable file like .exe .dll .cpl .resource hacker works on windows xp ,windows vista and as well as windows 7.
Before doing anything create a restore point for safety by going start >> all program >accessories >> system tool >> system restore and create restore point
Download resource hacker

Install resource hacker and after the installation run resource hacker go to C:\WINDOWS
And copy explorer.exe rename it past into your desktop (in my case I changed explorer.exe to av.exe
After that drags and drops your explorer.exe(from desktop) file in to resource hacker or open resource hacker
And go to file and browse your explorer.exe file and open it than you will see this image

In left pane go to string table and expand by double clicking

And find no 37 double click on it and select 1033 as above image .now you can see “start”
In the right pane rename anything you want. Now click compile script bottom and save it
(Remember one thing you have to use .exe extension for example av.exe)
Close resource hacker and go to where you save compile script and copy into to” C:\WINDOWS”
Now open run by pressing win+r or go to start and run and type this command “regedit”
This command will open registry of windows and navigate to
HKEY_Local_Machine -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> CurrentVersion –> Winlogon

In the right pane double click on “shell “and change explorer.exe with your modified explorer.

Configure dial up connection in ubuntu

Actually ubuntu come with many mobile driver so no need to install driver for your mobile just attaché your mobile and ctreate DUN profile I personally used G five ,Karbon, Nokia , Samsung. what you need to do is ,if you have data cable insert it ,then It will detect your mobile and create
Your DUN (dial up network) connection or if you have Bluetooth dongle than follow my steps
Start your system which has ubuntu installed. insert bluetooth dongle and
wait for few minutes go to than got upper right side in ubuntu desktop

 

 Click on Bluetooth icon and choose “set up new device” 



Click forward next wizard will help to pair your mobile with computer



Select your mobile and click forward pair your mobile with computer
And than select “access the internet using your mobile” 



Click close a new windows comes 



Click forward select country click forward and than



Click “I can’t find my provider and I wish to enter it manually”
Enter your services provider name than click forward 



Enter your access point name (APN) adress of your services provider
Forward now your mobile is ready just go to upper right side on ubuntu desktop 



And click network icon than your connection name (my connection name is
Reliance connection ) click on it wait few second than browse internet
