Universe: How To Install Ubuntu On Desktop Or Notebook

In this post I am going to tell you how to install ubuntu in your laptop or desktop. you can also install ubuntu with windows operating just download ubuntu live cd extract into hard drive and double click on wubi.exe file choose where you want to install, your username, partition size after complete restart your system choose ubuntu it take 20 to25 min to install ubuntu or install a fresh copy of ubuntu you can install ubuntu with live cd or you can also install ubuntu through your pen drive click here to how to make pen drive bootable
Ubuntu is Linux based operating system and the installation of ubuntu is really easy in order to install ubuntu you have create three partition
root (/)
root is a main directory that contain all ubuntu system file and the symbol root is(/)
Swap swap is virtual area used by operating system
Home normally in home directory used to store your personal file like document, download, my music, my picture etc
first make a cd of ubuntu live and insert into your DVD-ROMs or cd-rom and restart your computer and boot from cd (go to boot option and set DVD -rom is first device. normally del, f10, esc is shortcut key of bios, when system start press one of these key if any problem press master boot key that f12 when your computer on)

In the above picture appear click on install click forward and click forward

Select something if you want to manually create partition size else and click forward

Highlight hard disk name and click on New partition table than a new window will appear click on continue and select free space click on add a new window will appear now create root partition see the above picture

Now you have to create swap area select free space once again click on add bottom give 4 GB (normally swap is 2 Gab is sufficient) and then choose swap from drop down Manu click ok
